TERRORISM: PISANU, ITALY IS A TARGET OF WEB AGGRESSION
AGI) - Rome, 19 Jan. - According to Giuseppe Pisanu, Minister of the Interior, Italy is a target of "systematic aggression directed via the Internet" tied to the emergence of world terrorism.
And at present, the relationship between communication and terrorism "is, in all evidence, one of the most delicate aspects of the larger fundamental problem that democracies must face every day: the theme of equilibrium between freedom and security, between authority of the State, that is, and freedom".
This relationship, "certainly not a new theme", thus becomes "a key argument for the consideration of all those who, for various motives and in various contexts, hold public responsibilities in the field of security.
As well as, naturally, for all the information workers", and "this argument is growing in a country like Italy". Pisanu was speaking at the ceremony for the inauguration of the academic year of the training school of Sisde, the secret service for the country's democratic security.
